The profiles

MINIMUMHeader data and totals, no lines; not a proper invoice in Germany since 2025.
BASIC WLHeader and total data without invoice lines; does not represent the complete EN 16931 data set.

What is checked

The PDF container: name of the embedded file (factur-x.xml, zugferd-invoice.xml, xrechnung.xml), Factur-X XMP metadata, PDF/A-3 identification.
The XML Schema of the detected profile, Factur-X 1.09.2 (FeRD / FNFE-MPE).
The profile's business rules: EN 16931 and the Factur-X rules, Schematron 1.09.2 by FeRD / FNFE-MPE.
XRECHNUNG profile: the KoSIT rules, as in the XRechnung validator.

What is not checked

PDF/A-3 conformance itself (fonts, colours, structure) – that takes a PDF/A validator such as veraPDF.
Electronic signatures.
Whether the content is actually correct, such as amounts, bank details or the Leitweg-ID.
